Born in 1990, I live in Rome, but over the past four years, I have established myself as an internationally recognized freelance photographer, collaborating with some of the world’s largest film studios, including Universal, Disney, Warner, and Netflix. My work led me to attend the Academy Awards for Universal, which won seven Oscars with the film Oppenheimer in 2024.
Photography entered my life at the age of 20 when I began taking various courses at the University of Tor Vergata. I was immediately captivated by this world and started my career as an event photographer and second shooter for weddings.
At 23, I earned a degree in Science and Technology for Media, a program within the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences at Tor Vergata, which allowed me to develop an analytical mindset and a solid technical foundation in both the scientific and creative aspects of photography. I later deepened my studies in the field of 3D, obtaining a master’s degree as a Generalist 3D Artist from the Rainbow Academy.
In November 2013, I was offered a position at Rainbow CGI as a lighting and surfacing artist. However, my passion for cinema and photography led me to decline the offer and focus on set photography, a fascinating and challenging discipline that merges my two greatest passions. Unlike fashion or wedding photography, set photography requires an extraordinary ability to adapt to the lighting conditions of a film set, capturing the essence of a movie without interfering with the work of the crew and actors. Additionally, building a strong relationship with producers is essential, as set photography serves as the primary promotional tool for a film.
My first experience as a set photographer dates back to August 2013 with the film Il Pretore, directed by Giulio Base. Since then, my career has evolved, leading me to work on high-profile international productions while also exploring other photographic fields. Today, my work is divided between film sets around the world and photographic projects that tell stories through light and imagery.
